What are long term threats of plastic in our seas?

I invite you to read this compelling article from the BBC News that sheds light on a serious problem. I highly recommend reading the book Plastiki. It also addresses the dangerous problem of plastic in our oceans and makes the recycling of plastics in our waste system quite clear. We are in deep trouble, and we MUST do EVERYTHING we can to stop and reverse the problem, NOW!
