Screening of “Silver Linings Playbook”
Posted on Nov. 26, 2012
Tis the season to go to screenings and last Monday night, Parky and I were invited to the premiere of the film, “Silver Linings Playbook” at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre, otherwise known as the Academy. We absolutely loved the film from start to finish. David O. Russell wrote the screenplay based on a Matthew Quick novel and is his first screen adaptation. I won’t go into the plot but will just say, life doesn’t always go according to plan. If you want a complete review see the Friday 11/23/12 LA Times review, When a director calls the plays by Steve Zeitchik. Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence’s dance scene is not to be missed! Every year, there are usually one or two movies that receive critical acclaim. Films that actually feel good and are entertaining and “Silver Linings Playbook” is one of them. Oh, and don’t miss the musical score by Danny Elfman. Fantastic as always! Go see this one!!!
